Thanksgiving has a way of slowing the world down. Even if the kitchen is a war zone and someone is arguing about cranberry sauce again, there’s a small, quiet moment every year when you look around the table and think, “This is my people. This is my place.”
That moment – fleeting, simple, and very human – is exactly why being a local attorney matters so much to me.
Hernando County isn’t just where I practice law. It’s where I grew up. It’s where my kids go to school. It’s where my family shops, eats, volunteers, worships, and occasionally attempts to survive Publix the day before Thanksgiving (a feat that should count as a contact sport). This community raised me, shaped me, and still greets me in the grocery store with, “Hey Brian, I got a weird legal question for you…”
And honestly? I’m thankful for that.
